The MAL01 project is the world’s first 3,700 t/d clinker production line in Poland under the Holcim Group to utilize 90% alternative fuels. It is equipped with a 3.5 MW pure low-temperature waste heat to power system provided by Nanjing Kesen Kenen Environment & Energy Co., Ltd., featuring automatic regulation, one-click start/stop, and other intelligent control functions. In December 2023, the MAL01 project was selected as one of the “2023 Typical Cases of China-Europe Green and Low-Carbon Development Cooperation.”
As Poland’s first cement plant waste heat to power project, it has faced numerous challenges since installation began on March 8, 2023. The project team has pooled their efforts and worked steadily toward the set targets. They have shown resolve and perseverance despite adverse factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and cold weather conditions. By fully leveraging local resources to promote the project forward, the project achieved a successful initial grid connection on November 20, 2024.
As an EU EPC waste heat to power project undertaken by Nanjing Kesen Kenen Environment & Energy Co., Ltd., the project’s successful grid connection provides strong support for the company’s further expansion into the European market.
Moving forward, Kesen Kenen will meticulously organize trial operations, performance evaluations, and other subsequent tasks. The company will carefully review project construction and intelligent operation experiences, continue its technological innovations, and contribute to the industry’s green and low-carbon development.
