Holcim Group’s Poland MAL01 Project’s WHR System Achieves Initial Successful Grid Connection

The MAL01 project is the world’s first 3,700 t/d clinker production line in Poland under the Holcim Group to utilize 90% alternative fuels. It is equipped with a 3.5 MW pure low-temperature waste heat to power system provided by Nanjing Kesen Kenen Environment & Energy Co., Ltd., featuring automatic regulation, one-click start/stop, and other intelligent control functions. In December 2023, the MAL01 project was selected as one of the “2023 Typical Cases of China-Europe Green and Low-Carbon Development Cooperation.”

At 19:58 on December 3, 2024, the upgrade of the reheating system for waste heat to power from 5 stages to 6 stages for the No. 3 production line at China Railway Materials Anhui Tiepeng Cement Co., Ltd.—constructed by Nanjing Kesen Kenen Environment & Energy Co., Ltd.—successfully achieved grid connection on its first attempt and met all design specifications.

At 00:48 on November 9, 2024, the high-efficiency reheat-based WHP system technological upgrade project for the green intelligent digital energy-saving transformation of No. 2 clinker line at Xuzhou Longshan Cement Co., Ltd., constructed by Nanjing Kesen Kenen Environment & Energy Co., Ltd. ("Kesen Kenen"), successfully connected to the grid and generated power on the first attempt.
